LAOH Philadelphia
Tara Degree Team
The LAOH Philadelphia Tara Degree Team was established in October 1999. The sole purpose of the Team is to confer Major Degrees of the Order to the members of the LAOH in good standing. They include some history, as well as the mission and purpose of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. Our team consists of LAOH members of Philadelphia County, who have been Degreed. We have conferred several Degrees including the 91st biennial Pennsylvania State Convention in Bethlehem on July 21, 2001. We would like to thank the LAOH and AOH Philadelphia County Boards, Nativity Parish, Jack Brown, Eamon Daley, Cathy Deacy-Moore, AOH Division 39, and our families for their overwhelming support.

Healing Mass Cards
If someone knows of an LAOH member who is sick and would like us to send them a healing mass card please email Maureen Mallon at momo411@verzion.net with the member's name.
Also, if you know of non-member who is sick and you want to send your own mass card, you can get a healing mass card from me at our monthly meeting.

Saint Brigid of Ireland was a founding patron of the Christian church in Ireland and was one of the first Irish Saints. Legend has it that she wove her first cross from rushes that covered the floor of her home. The rush cross has been the symbol of Saint Brigid ever since. A few years after Saint Patrick arrived in Ireland, a little girl named Brigid was born. Click here to learn more about St. Brigid.
